[ Account Manager – Consumer ]

JOB DESCRIPTION

Develop and execute consumer-driven communication strategies, craft and tell inspiring stories, generate & maintain strategic partnerships for the brand and garner favorable media coverage for the managed campaigns.

This position is for PR/ADVERTISING specialists who have managed B2C accounts in an agency or have experience in the marcomm department of a consumer company.

MUST HAVE

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in PR/advertising agency, or client, in a project management position
  • Experience in consumer accounts
  • Very good project management skills in the marcomm industry

RESPONSIBILITIES RANGE

  • Creating and implementing strategies for B2C clients (channels: press, social media, influencer & KOLs, online/offline events, strategic partnerships)
  • Setting, managing, negotiating communication budgets
  • Create content for press releases, byline articles and keynote presentations
  • Evaluate opportunities for partnerships, sponsorships and advertising on an on-going basis
  • Plan and execute disruptive co programs, brand-led partnerships, product launches, sustainability initiatives, and seasonal campaigns.
  • Maintain a keen understanding of industry trends affecting clients and make appropriate recommendations regarding communication strategy surrounding them
  • Manage system for tracking, measuring and reporting on the communication tactics effectiveness and continuously update methods, processes and tools.
  • Involvement in crisis communication situations
  • English CAE/CPE level
  • Coaching client representatives in effective communication with the public and employees.
  • Actively participate in new business: Identifies opportunities to upsell and grow the account; brings in new business opportunities through own network, experience and meet established revenue goals; generates new business pitch decks with strategic, creative thinking; contributes meaningfully to RFPs

REQUIREMENTS

  • Consumer communications experience across either in-house teams or in agency
  • Intrapreneurial spirit – ability to work independently and find resources
  • Person who is up to date with industry news (campaigns, tactics, technologies, customer opportunities)
  • Positive, non-confrontational, creative nature
  • Ability to accept differing opinions and constructively lead conflicting discussions towards resolution
  • Proven experience working with media and a strong portfolio of story placements across national, local, and vertical press
  • Curiosity and a command of data and how it can be used to uncover insights that create newsworthy moments
  • Expertise in earned media strategy, program strategy, thought leadership, and visibility programs
  • A track record of building consensus across teams and generating the support of company leadership on important cross-functional projects
  • Excellent writing and editing skills that can communicate creatively and succinctly
  • Proactive and highly motivated; demonstrated ability and desire to work both on your own and as part of a team
