GENERAL TASKS

  • Integrated communication strategy input
  • Implementation of the annual communication strategy
  • Account management
  • Management of PR assistant, social media responsible, creation & production
  • Client event planning, organisation and management, including press conferences and promotional events.
  • Research and intelligence – assimilation of research statistics and intelligence using various mediums i.e. Internet, market reports to draft sound client research reports.
  • Attend client meetings
  • Media buying plans when necessary
  • Management of unexpected crisis situations
  • Assist in the reporting, analysis and evaluation of PR campaigns
  • Actively participate in new business development including proposal writing

MEDIA

  • Media content strategy
  • Media pitching
  • Writing articles
  • Very good connexions with the media (business/TV) and the bloggers
  • Ability to write “journalist quality” press releases/blog articles/newsletter articles
  • Ability to create news
  • Excellent publicity skills, a strong understanding of the media, editorial requirements and what makes a story

SOCIAL MEDIA

  • Social media content strategy
  • Social media strategy for specific projects

REQUIREMENTS

  • Essential 3-5 years’ relevant experience in business journalism, specifically print or online publications
  • Proficiency in English writing/speaking (CAE/CPE is an advantage)
  • Good presentation skills
  • Manage a small team and act as mentor / coach to junior consultants
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • Consistent knowledge in using Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PPT)
  • Positive and ethical attitude
  • Customer orientation
  • Responsible for his/her decisions and actions
  • Ability to demonstrate creativity and innovative thinking
  • Be able to multi-task, and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • A thorough understanding of the value and importance of PR in the overall communications/marketing mix
